Fly is a scripted-based offscreen post-processing tool for “huge” applications.

Benefits:

  1. Fly will loose no time in rotating, zooming, clipping a large mesh. The configuration-file can be set up using a small “dummy”.
  2. Fly can create plane, cylindrical, ... cuts, iso-surfaces, streamlines. The geometry can also be rendered transparent.
  3. Fly runs offscreen, so you can create arbitrary sized images (unlimited in size)
  4. Fly creates a html-based report with user controlled slideshows, or animations.
  5. Mean-values of solution data (vector or scalar) can be averaged on selections.

How Tarantula works:

Starting with a configuration-file, where all views, cuts, ... are defined, Fly runs offscreen and creates a report which contains all animation, pictures, mean-values, ... . Spider-view helps to setup the correct camera-positions and other viewing parameters.

This report can the be viewed with a standard web-browser.
